came in second 3 times in the Western Mass. Tournament, 3rd twice in the
Mass. state Championship.
He pitched in as many as 8 tournaments in some seasons. His best ringer percentage for a single meet was 69.7% for 7 games. He finished 5th in the 1972 Mass. Open.
Joe erected a horseshoe shack for winter pitching. For a few years he had an A Class League for Class A Players. This League pitched Friday nights from October to the middle of April for three or four seasons.
