" Construction was completed prior to the 2007 season start. Three new courts were completed making fifteen courts surrounded by a page fence. The new pavillion provided shade for spectators and a place to eat your burger or hot dog. The covered porch has several tables and chairs and provides a view of all the courts. Legion volunteers cook hamburgs and hot dogs and serve beverages at club prices during league matches and tournaments. New lights have been installed to provide great lighting for night matches. The Valley HS League has 17 teams and plays Monday and Wednesday nights for twenty two weeks followed by an outing in early October"

The Valley HS League has just installed 3 new courts in Shelton. Concrete was poured last week and the runways will be paved with asphalt when the ground dries out. A steel pavilion is in the works, having received approval from the city.
The AThe American Legion Post #16 has enclosed their patio. Also planned is new 4 foot high page fence to replace the old fence which was made from phone poles. The new courts were necessitated because our former site at Masters Restaurant on Rt 110 (Shelton) has been sold and we were told to remove our belongings (lights, backboards, stakes, etc.). The club has played at Masters (formerly Esther's) for over 30 years, starting with three courts and expanding to six courts with paved runways and lights.

League start-up date is April 24 and plays a 22 night schedule. Dues are $50.00 per year plus CT HPA sanction fee ($15.00). Sanction fees are collected by the league and submitted to CT HPA secretary.
