Donna started playing organized horseshoes about thirteen years ago. She was the force behind starting and organizing the Riverside club. She also got this club sanctioned, and had their first tournament with 46 players. The club plays a non-sanctioned league every Thursday night in the summer. They draw a pretty large crowd every night. Donna also was the force behind getting a small trailer for a club house.

Donna lives in Huntington, Vermont with her husband Grant. She has one son Billy.

She has been our State Secretary/Treasurer for the past eight years. This is a job she takes great pride in, and she does a terrific job at. Our membership has greatly increased since she took over this job.

Donna is a member of the Richmond Rescue. There has been more than one occasion that she has had to assist with a horseshoe player getting too much sun, or having trouble breathing. It is nice to have the knowledge she brings from the medical field to our sport.

When Donna is not busy helping, giving encouragement to Junior players, or all the many other things she does for our sport, she also enjoys the game herself. She has played all over the state, and also enjoys going to the New England tournament. She averages in the forty's, but has been know to throw in the fifty's. Vermont is very fortunate to have her many contributions she brings to our sport. Congratulations, and thank you.
